SMS Terms
In short: if you opt in, OwnIt Health texts you about your appointments — booking confirmations and reminders. About 1–3 messages per visit. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or HELP for help. Texts never include medical details.
The program
OwnIt Health LLC ("OwnIt Health", "we") sends appointment text messages to patients who ask for them: confirmation that we received a visit request, confirmation when a visit is booked, and a reminder before the visit. Messages give a date, a time and a link to your OwnIt home page. They never include a diagnosis, a reason for a visit, test results or any other health information.
How you opt in
You choose to receive texts by checking the optional box labeled "Text me appointment reminders" when you create your account at app.ownithealthcare.com/join, or by turning on text reminders from your OwnIt home page after you sign in. The box is never checked for you. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of receiving care, and you'll get the same reminders by email either way.
How often
Message frequency varies with your appointments — typically 1 to 3 messages for each visit you book. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. OwnIt Health does not charge for texts.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts. We'll send one message confirming you've been unsubscribed and nothing after that. You can also turn text reminders off from your OwnIt home page. To start again, reply START or turn reminders back on in the app.

Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include major US and Canadian carriers.
Privacy
Your mobile number and your consent to receive texts are used only to send the messages described above. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
