Our Commitment to Quality Care
OwnIt Health is a small practice, and small practices are accountable in a way large ones are not: there is no one to hand a problem to and no one to hide behind. This page says what we hold ourselves to, so you can tell whether we are doing it.
Who cares for you
Your care is led by Juanita Outlaw, FNP-BC, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner licensed in Delaware. Every clinician who sees you is licensed in the state you are in, reads your record before your visit rather than during it, and we keep you with the same clinician wherever we can.
What we promise
- Enough time. Visits are scheduled by what you need, not by what fits. If your visit runs long because it should, it runs long.
- A real record. Everything from your visit is written into a certified electronic health record the same day. You can read your own record, download it, and take it anywhere.
- Plain language. If we use a medical word, we explain it. If you leave a visit unsure what happens next, we did not finish the visit.
- An honest answer about what we cannot do. We are not an emergency service and we are not a replacement for a primary care practice. When something needs in-person care, imaging, or a specialist, we say so and help you get there.
- One price, told to you first. Every visit costs the same, and you see the price before anything is charged. You can move or cancel free up to 24 hours before your visit; see our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
How we check ourselves
Quality is not a feeling. These are the things we measure and review:
- Notes are closed, not left open. Every visit note is completed and locked. The clinician is shown how many remain open at the end of each day.
- Results are reviewed on a schedule, not when someone remembers. Anything that comes back outside the normal range is reviewed within one business day, and you are told.
- Prescriptions are checked against your record for interactions and allergies before they are sent.
- Identity is verified before the first visit. A government-issued photo ID is checked by a person, because prescribing for the wrong person is the mistake that matters most.
- Every look at a chart is logged. The record shows who opened it and when, including us.
When we get it wrong
Tell us. Message us in the app, call 302-615-6105, or write to admin@ehr.ownithealthcare.com. We will acknowledge you within two business days and tell you what we are doing about it. You will never be charged for a visit you are complaining about.
You may also contact the Delaware Board of Nursing or the Delaware Division of Public Health. Raising a concern with a regulator does not affect your care here.
What we will not do
We do not prescribe controlled substances for chronic pain, we do not provide disability or legal certifications we have not assessed you for, and we do not write a diagnosis onto a work or school note. If you need something we do not provide, we will say so rather than approximate it.
